This past weekend was full of fun!
Friday night we had a girls night with some of the girls from Beth-El. Unfortunately not every female from the young adult group was able to join us. We'll have to try again sometime.
We began the evening at my apartment and ate pizza and a yummy salad. After dinner we went to the movie theater only to find out that Leap Year was sold out. Since this was in no way going to ruin our night, we made our way back to my place to watch 500 Days of Summer
It was my second time seeing this movie, but I loved it the second time too! It was so nice to have an impromptu girls night.
On Saturday I made the decision to sell my beloved hoe (Chevrolet Tahoe). I got a good price for it and began to start the oh so fun process of finding a replacement. Marika came along on the car hunt. In the many hours we were out on Saturday I only drove one car. It was nice but I didn't love it. So I made my way out of the dealership without signing anything as badly as "Slick Rick" wanted otherwise.
Saturday night was Adam's work Christmas party at Phantom Canyon. We ate delicious food, drank tasty beer and enjoyed good company. Afterward we made a short stop at Murphy's Tavern before calling it a night.
Sunday was a fantastic day! I got to sleep in a little and then enjoy a cruise up hwy 24 to Cripple Creek with Adam in his new ride! We ate lunch in CC, played a few slots and headed home. Driving through Manitou Springs we decided it was best for us to stop and play some ski ball at the penny arcade. I forgot how fun ski ball is!
As we were turning in our combined 45 tickets for a small pack of now and laters a girl at the counter next to me turned to me and said, "It will drive me crazy if I don't ask...Did you just come to my house? Are you a social worker?" I was caught off guard and am hoping I didn't come across as rude. I had in fact been to her house very recently for an investigation. Think running into her in an arcade while exchanging my tickets for candy damaged her view of my professionalism??
