My endless love

Thanksgiving 2003 was on the 27th of November. I spent with the Combs'. We had a fantastic meal, and I'm sure, went around the table to say what we were thankful for. Little did I know the very next day, I would meet the man I would spend the rest of my life with. Talk about something to be thankful for.

The next day Ben was going out with some of his friends. Rachel and I were lucky enough to tag along. We went to the Polo in Hutchinson and I was introduced to the very funny Adam Baldwin. He had some witty lines in the first few moments after we met. Knowing what I know now, this is a very regular occurrence. We shook hands, and I decided he would be someone fun to flirt with.

Part way through the evening Adam was making a comment about not dating anyone. I said, "So you're not seeing anyone? Maybe we should go out some time...just kidding." Mean I know, but just in case I was going to be rejected, I needed to be prepared. Turns out Adam was a little thrown off by this. Humm, wonder why?

We moved on from the Polo to Lone Star where it was karaoke night. Adam cracked me up when he went up and did Neil Diamond, Forever in Bluejeans. He knew all the words, and even had a little dance. I liked him! He and Ben rode in my car back to Inman. Ben jumped out of the car right away, and Adam and I shook hands again. I held his hand a few seconds longer than you would for a shake and said something along the lines of "How about I give you my phone number, and you call me sometime."

Our first date was on December 3rd. We went to Wichita and ate at Panera. Then we drove back to Newton and went Bowling. It was great! On May 28, 2005, exactly one and a half years to the day that we had met, we were married! Adam and Lantz sang and danced to Forever In Bluejeans at the wedding reception. Our honeymoon was postponed until December. We left town to drive to Texas for the honeymoon on December 2, 2005. One day before 2 year anniversary of our first date. The next year we signed papers on December 4, 2006 making us official homeowners for the very first time. The day after the three year anniversary of our first date.

This time of year has a lot of memories packed into it. Today, my husband and I have known each other for four years, and have been married for two and a half. I am so lucky to have the caring supportive man that I do. He makes me proud to call him my husband.

That is just the sweetest thing I ever saw. Tears are welling up in my eyes right now after reading this entry again. I hope Adam read it! I'm glad you feel things like this are important to document. In this case, it is obvious that you are proud of your husband because you posted your feelings in a place where all the world can see!
